Secret Santa gift

this is the only thing I have made for Christmas and I actually made it three weeks in advance~!

charcoal and other media

Judgement Day of art school is approaching again so I have been making new things! Else I would stand there empty-handed, that would be pretty bad I guess.

I have picked up charcoal again. You can work pretty fast with it, which is nice for a change. 

For this forest I used different types of media, ballpoint, marker and paint.

This was inspired by a circus, not that there was somebody there walking around like this though. 

Rough set-up for a new painting. 

And this kind of seems like a self-portrait. My skills with charcoal are not optimal yet :/

ecoline, ballpoint and knitting

Even though it is 30 degrees Celsius outside, I am still knitting. I actually find knitting more convenient for this kind of weather since it is too hot to draw.

So yeah, here is a preview of a scarf I am working on. I will not try it on today I guess.

Here is an ecoline experiment. I am still struggling to get this medium under control. Maybe the point of this medium is to not have control over what happens in the picutre xD

And finally finished this big ballpoint drawing. I am not too fond of it actually, but I hope I learnt from it at least.

Halloween commission

Today I finished a speed painting commission for a client. The commission was all about Halloween so I decided to go with the scary nurse theme. This green feline may have a lot of blood stains, but she also offers some candy.

gifts

Recently I felt like taking more pictures, so here is one of the superblack tea of today. It is passion fruit tea. Tastes a bit like passion fruit, but not when it is this black.

My sister's birthday is coming up so I bought her a gift, it is an agenda (I can say it here, she does not read this anyway). I also bought some Hello Kitty chocolate eggs because I collect the little figurines inside.

And finally, a little drawing. Sometimes it is so nice to work with traditional media again.

a weird thing

At my drawing lesson we had the theme "abstraction" so I made a slightly weird abstract creature of the bird image. It was an image of two birds and I merged them together in this image. This is the first time I try to do something like this :D

After a long day of work I just post things I drew when I was on vacation. I did not have an internet connection there so the only thing I had to do was draw... Or swim or something, but I do not do that the whole day. That would be boring.
Anyway, this was just some regular "study" thing. I tried to draw myself from the mirror, which turned to be quite hard since I do not sit still. xD Oh and I was really tired at that moment (just like now).
