busy drawing differently

For school I have been drawing in a different way. I quite like it. The above drawing is actually not blue but my camera is a bit weird sometimes.

These were the sketches I made before the fish picutre.

After that I sketched some more ideas...

...which led to this.

old ballpoint sketch

Just an old sketch I once made. I never finished it but I thought I would just leave it here. There are a few mistakes in it. I still find it a funny image though.

Verbeke foundation pt 8

Entering the laboratory of the Verbeke Foundation now. These pictures are all taken from there.

Verbeke foundation pt 7

These installations were pretty cheerful in real life, they lighted up sometimes too.

Interesting quote, too bad they made it really obvious what sentence it is based upon.

And now we are entering the laboratory, full of dead animals and chemicals.

I hope these were just found dead and not killed. Anyway, it was a pretty uneasy place, some others skipped this part.

skin deep

Title has nothing to do with the drawings. I was listening to a song called "Skin Deep". I love Audrey Gallagher, such a nice voice she has.

the little sketchbook

Scanned my other sketchbook again. These are all just ballpoint doodles.

digital paintings

I did not post my digital paintings here for a while, so here are two recent ones. The mecha bird (the last one) was finished today!

ink

I really like using ink. Yesterday I took these works to school as well. It is funny, they actually liked the one that I did not like at all (which is the last one). I will experiment some more with ink to get interesting results I guess.

I also uploaded this one to DeviantART >> click

Okay, this kind of looks like Light from Death Note. :> Very inspiring character.

The teachers liked this one, even though I think it looks weird. :V

recent works

Two paintings and a commission I forgot to post here. The bird was the commissioned piece. Other than that I am trying to push my digital paintings more...

Shaodin portrait

I made a portrait of my bird character, he's got a redesign too. His hair is different now. I am going to use this as an icon for some websites.

Boijmans van Beuningen

Thursday I went to the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam. Last time I went to a museum was an excursion with school (which was in Scheveningen/Den Haag). I actually went for  the exhibition of Kokoschka but the other work was way more interesting.

Too bad I do not remember the artist of these 2 works, but I really loved them. They were really pretty. It looked very natural, even though it was mad from artificial material.

They also had very classicla and old things, such as these birdies.

This clock was really pretty too. I guess I really like detailed works.

I was excited to see a comic in a museum, but this one was very vulgar. It was this vulgar, that I thought it was a little "too much".

This portrait by Kokoschka came out very well I think.

Apparantly this was Kokoschka's favourite cat.

These are parts of bikes squished together. That was some fancy cube!

My favourite work was the room of Yayoi Kusama, so funny to be in a world full of red dots. Too bad there was not more of her work, I would love to see more.

pelican crest

This is the newest commission I finished for a client. It has been nice to vector something again. This pelican takes good care of their young birds.
Also, I survived the dentist today! :D
