birthday gifts

Yesterday was my birthday, I am 25 now. I got some nice gifts, which you can view here. :>

First I got this small canvas to paint on, it is really tiny. The stand for it is tiny as well. I think it is very cute. I also got a Hello Kitty brush. It is not very clear on this picture but at the back it has these things so that you can brush your hair with it. It seems to be made for children, but I like it a lot.

More painting supplies, always welcome! So I guess I will go back to painting more often.

And I got some soap, not very original but very useful. :>

To actually end this with a drawing, I am showing you my most recent work in progress here. It is a big drawing on A1 paper. All done with ink.

It is almost done. I am glad that I finished the background now.

I took some new photographs of works I am making for school. I started working with ecoline again, this one above is a work in progress. No sketch or anything, the ecoline went straight on the paper. I did have a reference picture nearby. I am going to edit it further with a crowned pen.

My ecoline works always end up a little "fuzzy".

Other than that I have completed knitting my sweater. I had to sew it together.

This is the finished result! I should take some pictures of me wearing it too, but I have to find a way to shoot proper self-portraits first then.

Traditional work for school :>

white pepper

Fashion illustrations inspired by the White Pepper (a clothing brand). This was not an assignment for them, I just found their photos on the internet and I thought it was nice to draw them. I really want to do something with fashion illustration now. :) I used to dislike fashion when I was younger, but I have changed a lot. Now I am very interested in fashion, clothing and style.

I have been working on many things lately. I guess I have too many interests. Oh well, here you see a new drawing for school. I inked the lines and started coloring it with ink and water. The yarn matches it well I think.

That yarn is used for knitting a sweater. I still have to finish the sleeves. I think this pattern is really cool for clothing.

and I am also painting something for school. Still in the "rough" phase though! Since it is getting warmer again it is hard to stay productive, but I will try. :>
