gent
Hear heart is the city Gent. I have never been to Gent though, that was a coincidence, I just wanted a city as a heart here.

charcoal and other media
I have picked up charcoal again. You can work pretty fast with it, which is nice for a change.
For this forest I used different types of media, ballpoint, marker and paint.
This was inspired by a circus, not that there was somebody there walking around like this though.
Rough set-up for a new painting.
And this kind of seems like a self-portrait. My skills with charcoal are not optimal yet :/

drawings
I have got some things to finish before judgement day at school. Including this picture of a woman who wants to be a deer.
This one is finished now, it is A3-sized and features a school girl with a boring life dreaming of better things.

painting, drawing, etc
This Sunday (Sunday is the day I usually paint) I finished off this acrylic painting.
First I was not sure if it was finished or not, but I do like it when the painting is still a little rough. In the end I decided it is finished. It forms a bigger painting with its counterpart, which you can view here:
Other than that I tried some crocheting, but this is really hard! 0_0 I want to make a Granny Square blanket but I wonder if I ever manage to do that. These blankets seem very funny and warm so it seemed like something nice to do.
I also drew something that looked like Zelda (the photo distorts it kinda but oh well):
It's almost done now. It has been ages that I colored something the traditional way!

this week
It is now Sunday evening. Sundays are always hard for me to get through. They are very boring. I probably have mentioned that before. That's why I always paint on Sunday, then I still can feel free. This painting above is from a while ago. I made it for school. The painting looks different in real life though. The colors are very different. Anyway, it is just a girl, wondering what to do. With all these ideologies and such. I added some stars, a cross and some symbols that are related to communism to that thing on her head.
I thought there was a mushroom growing on this plant, turns out my father just put it there.
I always put my tools on my bed. Yes, I got a Bakugan pillow. If anyone still knows Bakugan.. haha
Here is a new painting I am working on. I am thinking of making a second part of it, so that there are two paintings that form one bigger painting.
Can't wait for school to start :>

photos and paintings
Sometimes I like to take snapshots of my "adventures". Here I was in Ede to visit a friend from art school.<3 p="">
Other than that I have been painting some things for art school. I am getting more freedom with traditional acrylicsc it seems.
I actually got the idea for this one from reading a book that takes place in North Korea.
This was painted on some blue paper I had left.
And I started knitting some more too, which is quite a strange hobby when it is 30 degrees Celsius outside. This scarf is getting quite long already!
Last picture of today is inspired by Roy Liechtenstein (way too obvious) haha, which was more like a big scrap. But I do like the colours of it.

drapery paintings
I have been doing some experiments by painting drapery. These are done pretty fast from life. Especially the last one was fast, but that was done with paint that I had left from the other paintings.

acrylic paintings
Judgement day is coming up again at my school so I am painting a lot nowadays! Here are two new paintings I did:
A dinosaur in a dream-like forest.
Two cats.
These paintings are not very big, both are smaller than A4. I painted them with acrylics. I might post more of these in the future. :)

painting class
Hello! I just have had the first lesson at my new art school. I am really glad to be studying art again, I missed it so much. The first class was about painting and it was all about composition.
We first started out with sketching objects:

Then we had to make small sketches with acrylic paint to try out different compositions.

We had to choose two of them to paint on a big paper. (This one is not finished)

And this one is the most dynamic:

It was a great day, it was a long time ago I painted on big sheets of paper.

something about painting
So I have been painting a lot lately. Of course it was time to finish that cat painting... It is still not finished though. xD It is quite big you know^^;
I could do a little before... and after picture today.
Here is what it looked like today BEFORE painting:

This is how it looked AFTER painting:

I think I painted for an hour or so. After that I did a quick study of some clothing (a vest, just thrown around somewhere in my room):

Yesterday I also did a digital still life painting. I uploaded it to my deviantART.
